If you're wondering what a Covid limited numbers wedding feels like....its feels exactly the same!

With everything to consider and difficult choices to be made the one most important thing to remember is a that a wedding is more than a party...its much more and what matters most is that couples find a way to mark something special in their lives no matter what! Rebecca and Matt had that same choice and they decided that getting married was their priority and come what may their day would be every bit as amazing even with 30 guests and amid a global pandemic. They initially choose the West Mill because it offered everything they dreamed for their wedding, industrial cool, amazing location and room for all their family and friends. Little did they know that when they booked it things would change, for the better.

The first thing Rebecca said to us when we met was that they wanted a small wedding but things had changed as they had started the planning process and had ended up with over 100 guests at one of the East midlands coolest and most sort after wedding venues, it is what it is was they thoughts and they were happy with all their plans. Then when Covid hit and wedding numbers were reduced they had to re think their plans quickly as getting married was absolutely more important than a big party.

So in October 2020, the year of wedding madness, they hastily pulled together a wedding that turned out to be everything they dreamed of and more besides. In Rebeccas words it was what they had originally imagined for their wedding day and only in hindsight did they realise that this was what they wanted all along. With 30 of the most important and closes friends and family they set the day alight and amid all the worry the world faced this was the most perfect moment for them and us alike!

From preparations, the wedding styling and the photoshoots around the West Mill it was a perfect way to capture the last wedding of 2020. Even the sunshine'd on that small but perfectly formed wedding that day and it just goes to show that you don't need big numbers to celebrate your wedding, all you need is two people madly in love.
